DeMarco Fomby serves as the Manager of Recruitment for Nashville Teacher Residency. In this role, DeMarco leads recruitment efforts while focusing on storytelling and branding initiatives that attract exceptional candidates to the program. He also assists in partnership development and building strategic relationships that strengthen NTR’s reach and impact in the community.
DeMarco brings over 10 years of non-profit program implementation for youth to his work at NTR. His background includes talent acquisition for Republic Schools, where he honed his skills in identifying and recruiting top-tier educational professionals. As an independent consultant and national keynote speaker, DeMarco has shared his expertise and passion for education across the country, inspiring others to join the mission of transforming schools and student outcomes.
DeMarco’s approach to recruitment is grounded in his belief that joy should live in everym classroom, and that students should be encouraged to explore their passions early andoften. This philosophy drives his commitment to finding educators who share this vision and can bring authentic enthusiasm to their teaching practice.
DeMarco is currently pursuing a degree in Faith and Social Justice from Belmont University, which reflects his deep commitment to equity and positive change in education.
