Valini Eatherly is a Manager of Resident Development and Science Methods Leas at Nashville Teacher Residency. As a Manager of Resident Development, Valini’s primary roles include campus support, candidate advocacy, observation, and coaching for first year educators earning licensure with NTR. In addition to this, Valini leads NTR’s Science Subject Methods courses and supports with Science Content Development.
Valini began her career in education as a Nashville Teaching Fellow with LEAD Public Schools. In her time at LPS, Valini taught 6th grade science for 5 years, then coached
Science, Social Studies, and ELA for a number of years after transitioning out of the classroom in 2020. At LPS, Valini’s primary goal was to ensure students had prepared,
informed, excellent educators who held a high bar for academic expectations and an even higher bar for making learning fun by fostering an environment that welcomed andhonored student diversity and emphasized differentiation that allowed all students access.
Outside of NTR, Valini plays her most important role as wife and mother to two young children.
Valini holds a Bachelor’s in Science from Belmont University and plans to pursue her Masters in Education in the future.
