Antonio Redmond serves as the Senior Manager of Alumni Impact at the Nashville Teacher Residency. In this role, Antonio creates opportunities for NTR alumni to continue their growth and development by tracking data and outcomes, developing strategic initiatives, and fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to amplify alumni’s long-term impact in schools and communities. This work is deeply personal to Antonio, as he is passionate about empowering educators and ensuring high-quality education for all students, regardless of race, orientation, or socioeconomic background.
Antonio began his journey in education in 2018 as an Assistant Educational Specialist with Old Dominion University’s sports division. Since then, he has served as an elementary and middle school teacher in Norfolk Public Schools, Rutherford County Schools, and KIPP Nashville. He has also held leadership roles as Dean of Culture and Assistant Principal of Culture at Intrepid College Prep and KIPP Nashville. Throughout his career, Antonio has remained dedicated to creating culturally responsive spaces for Black and Brown children and finding innovative ways to foster engagement, promote joy, and ensure borderless access to education for all students.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Education in Elementary Education from Old Dominion University.
