Lindsey Hamilton is the Senior Director of Educational Leadership and Impact for Nashville Teacher Residency. In this role, Lindsey leads the strategic vision and execution of NTR’s teacher preparation program to ensure equity, quality, and educator effectiveness. Lindsey centers holistic wellness, human-centered approaches, healing from the individual to the system to create systems change, liberatory design for equity, and authenticity in her approach to the work.
Lindsey worked in nonprofit development and community education before moving into the classroom in 2012. She read, wrote, and grew alongside middle school students, teaching English Language Arts, in Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools beforetransitioning to a Training and Instruction Manager position at TNTP. In this role, Lindsey helped pilot diversity, equity, and inclusion work during pre-service training. This role fueled her passion for integrating identity and healing work into teacher preparation that she has been given the opportunity to more fully develop at NTR.
In addition to NTR, Lindsey is the founder and director of Be Free Holistic Wellness, a holistic wellness movement dedicated to cultivating transformational healing spaces for individuals and groups through movement, meditation, nutrition, and spiritual work. Lindsey holds a Bachelor’s in English Language Arts from Western Kentucky University and a Masters in Educational Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
